TRUE EDUCATION

Success gives us confidence, failure gives us lesson, both are necessary.

Knowledge and Education

  1. Knowledge is to be acquired; it cannot be imparted.
  2. Memory matters. Knowledge should be readily available in the mind.
  3. Why do we remember the alphabet? Can we forget counting? If we forget simple theorems such as the four fundamental laws of thermodynamics, or sin 30 or sin 45, or the Bodhayan Sutra, it is because we have not derived them from their roots.
  4. When we derive from first principles, the network of knowledge is connected, hence integral and organic; therefore, it lasts without any conscious effort needed to memorize.
  5. Once our foundation is rock solid without gaps, then what little we know is with conviction, and there is clarity about what infinity we don't know. Clarity is important; we should delete the word "maybe" from our dictionary.
  6. Shastra memorization is a reflection of deep understanding and shraddha. It is not merely a matter of brute force mental exercise, as it may appear from the outside to the uninitiated or inexperienced. Do we cram the words of our mother tongue? The mother tongue is acquired unconsciously. Similarly, the culture and philosophy of life are acquired through experience.
  7. The Gita quick start provided on the SANSKRIT website helps you choose a few shlokas from the Gita that match your taste. Focus on them deeply; memorization will happen automatically, and other gates will open. This spiritual process is to be experienced.
  8. The Sanskrit language is systematic as per Panini's Ashtadhyayi. Hindi and English, etc., are not derived from a coherent mathematical grammar.

Philosophy of Education

  1. Education is the manifestation of perfection that is already present inside each one of us.
  2. What goes on in the name of education is a scam. We call it a poultry farm or a mitigated term, factory schooling.
  3. Have you ever seen an uneducated animal, bird, or organism? To be educated is to follow natural principles. No other creatures break the laws of nature except humans. Humans have a system of so-called education, especially after industrialization. Industry-based life is responsible for the brink of environmental collapse.
  4. The problem of humanity is not a lack of science and technology; the problem of humanity is social. We are progressing in technology while regressing socially. That's why there are gruesome wars on a large scale.
  5. It would be a blessing for the biosphere if we followed a tribal lifestyle of being in total harmony with nature.
  6. The dictionary of industrial society is defective by design. Development is the restoration of nature, but they say that what increases Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is development. They say so because their aim is tax collection.
  7. Existential questions such as "Who am I?" and "What is the purpose of life, if any?" are to be settled first. This is possible through spirituality.

Focus on Self-Purification

Yogis perform all actions solely for self-purification. (Gita 5.11)

  1. This (Gita 5.11) shloka aligns with the current definition of the self.

Proven method of wise to solve problems and attain peace

  1. Yogis (wise) maintain complete focus on self-purification.
  2. Yogis (wise) do all actions only for self purification. This shloka matches the current definition of self.
  3. These principles are applicable at all levels of consciousness.

Apply the proven method to solve all your problems and of others

  1. The one and only way to solve all our problems and attain lasting peace is through our internal purification resulting in a state of spiritual being.
  2. The root cause of all problems lies within; there are no complaints against others.
  3. First, be pure; otherwise, you will spread impurity.
  4. It is a contradiction to think of solving problems of others without first solving your own problems.
  5. Those who are really serious about solving the world's problems should first attain peace within through purification.

Present Form of So-Called Education

  1. A poultry farm is analogous to a school or factory.
  2. The environment of educational institutions can foster misleading peer behavior. Chasing grades is futile, yet society praises it. While ego boosts can feel good, they are ultimately not beneficial.

Love: Mothers' role in Education

"The influence and teaching of the educated mother is all for righteousness; and the formation in her children of character, based on self-control and self-sacrifice, the daily object of her life."

  1. Education for all.
  2. Educate mothers for upbringing children.
